CALL TO WORSHIP

God invites us into his healing presence with these words:

"I am the Lord, who heals you."

Diseased, depressed, dysfunctional, defeated, we come hungering for health that only God can provide.

God calls us to bring open eyes, hearing ears, and tender hearts turned toward him, the Great Physician

We bow before him in faith and expectancy!

CONFESSION

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

BENEDICTION

As you leave this place this day, may God's love sustain you, and may you love those who surround you. May God's Spirit empower you, and may you empower all those you meet. May God's joy fill your hearts, and may this joy overflow to the ends of the earth for God's glory, now and forever. Amen.

Children’s Memory Verse

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

New City Catechism

52.Q. What hope does everlasting life hold for us?

A. It reminds us that this present fallen world is not all there is; soon we will live with and enjoy God forever in the new city, in the new heaven and the new earth, where we will be fully and forever freed from all sin and will inhabit renewed, resurrection bodies in a renewed, restored creation.
