The Redeemer Report

Weekly News and Events

We had a great turn out for our door to door evangelism outreach last Sunday. We sent out four teams of two. We knocked on doors of homes near the church. We gave them brochures with information about Redeemer and magnets with basic information. We knocked on close to a eighty doors. Each team had a few conversations with residents, who were doing yard work around their house.

We are hoping to add another opportunity in the month to go out as a church and meet our neighbors. We would like to organize an evening during the week. We hope to have a day and time by Sunday to announce to the church.

We want to encourage the women of the church to help with this effort. Sarah Rogers and Kayley Ice were able to have great conversations. We discovered that people were more willing to talk with the women than the men.

We hope you can join us in this important commission work. Commission is one of our four values as a church community. We will all be encouraged by our combined effort to see our community reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ

We had our quarterly members' meeting last Saturday. We agreed to do VBS on June 19-21st. We also agreed to hire a Women's Director to disciple women at USI and help lead women's ministry at Redeemer. Also we also discussed organizing a plan to renovate the children's area and the downstair bathroom at St. Mark. Finally, we voted to add Randy Blanford and Christina Zolezzi as members of Redeemer Fellowship Church.

The Nursing Home Ministry at West River Health Campus on Sunday was a joyous event. Robert Hudson and Kayley Ice led us in worship with "Come Thou Fount" and "There is A Fountain." Pastor Matt taught a devotion from the New City Catechism. The question was "Who is the Redeemer?" We were able then to pray with the residents. Please pray for the resident's Bible Study on Friday led by Donna, who is an amazing woman of God. She has basically become a missionary there.

Please make plans to join us on June 3rd. We want to organize a team, so that we can minister to the residents there more often. We are their church for these dear friends. Pray that God would give you opportunities to help us in this important ministry. Click Here to add to the event to your digital calendar.

We will need everyones help to have a successful VBS.This will be an important event to introduce our church to the community. Kayley Ice is our VBS Director. We will continue to preach through the Book of Luke on Sunday. Luke 5:27-32 is our passage for the week. There are two responses to Jesus, the response from a sick heart and the response from a hard heart.

Come to hear from God's Word as He sanctifies you and gives you His joy through the regular preaching of His Word and the gathering of believers in worship and around the table of the Lord's Supper.

If you have missed any of the sermons from the past few weeks, go to, or check us out on itunes podcast store.

The four logos above represent the four values of Redeemer. You will notice on Sunday morning that they are displayed on four banners in the back of the chapel. You will start to notice that each event at Redeemer will be attached with one of these values. If you go to, you will see one of these logos highlighting the purpose of the event. We want everything that we do as a church to connect with our values. Please take note of this emphasis, and refer to the website for regular communication about weekly events.
